Kahal – a versatile sport horse

Kahal was the first Arabian who won the European Arabian Sport Horse Championship in the all-round classic class Deurne in 2002. He is a complete sport horse and trained to a high level in dressage. He is also a very good jumper. He was sired by the pure Russian Stallion Karnaval, who was bred by Tersk-Russia out of a successful performance and race line. Karnaval was on lease to The Kossack Stud in 1992 and 1993 and was the leading breeding stallion in Holland during these years. Karnaval is National Res. Champion Holland and Champion Res. Stallion Germany – later on he was sold to Mrs. Marion de Jacobert, Italy. The full brother Kosmonaut has after his racing career gone into breeding and is also used by the Trakhenian breed Germany. The half brother Drug is European Show Champion, National Champion and European Race Horse Champion. Karnaval’s dam Karinka is a full sister to the well-known stallion Kilimandscharo. Karnaval’s offspring have been very successful in Russia and Europe – both on the racetrack and in the show ring. The dam of Kahal is the beautiful chestnut mare Kazannka (Pandaz X Kazra). The grey stallion Pandaz was also a very good sport horse. In his pedigree there are Crabbit Stud influences because he was sired by the Crabbit Stallion Rissaz.
