Carissa-Mahruk was born in 1984 from a cross between Kaleb Juventus Biarda and Mahruk von Lichtental. She was a beautiful dog with an excellent type and a very strong character. Both her parents were working dogs, a trait which Carissa obviously inherited, as she certainly had the character of a working dog. With Carissa we had two litters with beautiful dogs. One of these litters was sired by the Dutch Champion Endor de la Tourbe, and the other, by his half-brother Frere Marcus de la Tourbe. The offspring of Carissa also had very good characters. Unfortunately however, one of the offspring developed epilepsy and consequently we decided to stop the breeding. This decision was very difficult for us to make, as it would end our Tervueren breeding for many years. It was ten years before we once again got involved with the Tervueren. We now have a beautiful Tervueren named Ybrisca de la Vignette and with this dog we are again breeding. The offspring of Ybrisca are very promising.
